Wild Bunch – MA project in Children's Book Illustration

This picture book is part of my final MA project in Children's Book Illustration at Cambridge School of Art. This book should inspire children to explore nature and enjoy the outdoors. Growing up in a small village surrounded by fields and forests shaped my love for nature. »Wild Bunch« captures childhood memories spent outdoors.

The artwork combines two printmaking techniques: Monoprinting creates outdoor atmospheres and painterly textures with expressive mark making using roller marks and large brushes. The unpredictable nature of this medium contains an element of surprise. For the paper masks, Tetra Pak drypoint is used.
